Pre-purchase surveys

We inspect and comment on physical condition of ship hull, E/R machineries and equipment, life and safety equipment and apparatus, fire-fighting and CO2 system, bridge navigational equipment and publication, water-tightness of deck/ hatches/ ventilators, etc. We immediately report list of defects, comment on ship management/ operational activities and ship documents/ certification. If required, we may comment and adjust the existing value of the ship at prevailing time. Apart from survey protocol/ forms in accordance with Class Society NK, Ship-owner, D&V, JLJ…, you can suggest your own practice, guidelines with special requirements if any in due time-frame and details.

Onhire, Offhire surveys (Bunker + Condition)

Every month, we inspect various cases of ship offhire/ onhire inspection at the water, anchorage and sea ports of Vietnam and in the region. Under each survey requirement of Bunker separately or Condition + Bunker both, we may inspect overall physical hull and machinery, equipments of a vessel in precise condition/ photos/ description, classifying and comments of apparent defects. We may at time inspect  of the cleanliness/ free of dunnage/ waste/ residue of vessel hatches/ holds and conduct special hatches/ holds survey for bulk grain and steel products carrier, lashing inventory for container ship, pump control room/ pipelines for tankers, cargo loader/ machineries for bulk cement, clinker and wood-chip carrier. We sound, investigate and calculate bunker remained on board at the vessel in mostly up-right condition and at appropriate time, rectifying Low/ High Sulphur, certifying until time of either Delivery or Re-delivery. Trustfully, our services is accurate, in time, diligent and without prejudice, evidential to avoid any dispute between concerned parties governed under a Charter Party.

New ship building, damage and repair surveys

In accordance with Class Society Standards, we offer a competent inspection, supervision of new ship building, repair and investigation the extent/ nature of ship damage, estimating repair/ renewal value of ship damage, either seeking or making assistance to select best repairer/ sub-contractor.

Hold cleanliness surveys

In the dry bulk trades, there are essentially five grades of hold cleanliness:

  • Hospital clean, or ‘ stringent ’ cleanliness
  • Grain clean, or high cleanliness
  • Normal clean
  • Shovel clean
  • Load on top

In accordance with IMO guidelines and based on properties of specific cargo a vessel will load/ discharge, we are pleased to offer the services; including physical condition, tightness of hold structures, manhole, ventilators, bilge…(Cargo space structure), apparent rust, residue/ other cargoes remained/ foreign matters and lives, etc, either supervising or investigating hold cleaning methods and time.

Water-tighness surveys of hatch covers

We offer water-tight survey of hatch covers, manhole, ventilators by respective method; Ultrasonic/ Hose test/ Chalk test.

Watertight hydrotest and welding seam non-destructive test (NDT)

In accordance with Class Society Standards, we offer the water-tight hydrotest of ballast tanks, manholes, drainage bilge wells, sea-chest valve. Especially, our surveyors have been trained, qualified and certified by Goverment Authorities to conduct non-destructive test of weather deck, welding seams.

Bunkering survey, bunker detective survey 221B
